What İs Maintenance Software?

The Odoo Maintenance Module has a dashboard that displays information about internal maintenance tasks. It includes a simple maintenance calendar as well as Kanban views of the activities. It allows you to drag and drop items. The best support for the successful operation of the instruments comes from timely maintenance work. It also allows the various wings to process maintenance requests more quickly.

Maintenance teams will populate the dashboard. The instance requests will be listed under the maintenance teams. These are actually categories that you can create for receiving inquiries based on the nature of your machinery or business. If you click on any of the Teams, you’ll be sent to the requests listed below.

This format makes it simple to organize maintenance requests.


Request teams and maintenance teams


Maintenance teams are simple to set up. To create a Maintenance team, navigate to the Maintenance module’s dashboard’s Configuration tab and select Maintenance Teams from the drop-down menu. The Maintenance Teams page will appear as seen below.
To add the Team name Team members and select the company, click on the Empty area. After you’ve finished configuring the Team, press the SAVE button, and it will be stored and displayed on the Maintenance module dashboard.

Creating and maintaining Equipment categories can aid in the efficient management of various types of equipment. To establish and manage equipment categories, go to the Configuration tab on the maintenance module’s dashboard and select Equipment Categories from the drop-down menu. As illustrated below, a new page will appear.
This page will provide a list of all of the Equipment categories that have been created. To establish a new Equipment category, click the CREATE button, which will take you to a configuration screen similar to the one shown below.
As illustrated above, you can start configuring the category by giving it a name in the Category name field.


You can choose a person to be in charge of the Equipment category and choose a company from the Company drop-down menu. Click the external link button next to the fields below for more settings about the Responsible Person and the Company.
The external links will lead you to the relevant configuration areas. By navigating to the external link, you can set the firm and the person accountable.

Request management and maintenance requests can be time-consuming. The Odoo Maintenance module includes a request management feature. From the maintenance module’s dashboard, go to the Maintenance tab, and from the Drop-down menu, select Maintenance Requests. A page on maintenance requests will appear, as shown below.

You can prioritize requests by using three-star emoticons under the requests to rate them. When you click it, the stars will fill up to indicate how important the requests are.

To create a new Maintenance request, go to this page and click the CREATE button. You can construct a new request from the preceding, as illustrated below.

You can specify the reason for the Maintenance request here, in the Request field. After that, add the name of the individual who created the demand as well as the team for which the person works. When you select the Equipment field, a drop-down choice of Equipment appears, as seen below.
Select the equipment you want to seek maintenance on from the Equipment drop-down menu, as shown above. To find additional equipment, click the Search more button. You will be presented with a tab containing all of your equipment from which to chose. After you’ve entered the Equipment, go to the Responsible box and select the Equipment from the drop-down menu. Then select the person who is responsible for the process.


In the Requests date field, provide the date of the request, and in the Scheduled date and Duration field, type the scheduled date. You can rate the Request’s priority by selecting the Star emoji next to ‘Priority.’ Corrective and preventive maintenance are the two types of maintenance available.
For routine maintenance processes or operations, preventive maintenance is used. The preventative Maintenance type allows you to arrange maintenance actions ahead of time, assuring optimal equipment use and avoiding unforeseen damage. This technology can be used to manage any instrument, from computers to complicated manufacturing machinery.
Even with routine maintenance, it’s typical for machinery to have problems and faults. Corrective maintenance plays a role in these machinery concerns since they require prompt treatment. The issue will be submitted to the maintenance staff, who will begin working on it right away. Choose from the maintenance types, and if you wish to apply a manufacturing order to the Maintenance request, click the Field next to ‘Manufacturing order,’ and pick the manufacturing order from the drop-down list.


If you wish to add any comments or instructions, do so in the Internal notes section of the settings tab. After you’ve finished configuring the requests, click the SAVE button, and they’ll be added to the New Request stage, as shown below.

As illustrated below, the new maintenance request will appear in the Maintenance requests area.
To update the Maintenance process, drag the request to different phases.
